Robert E. Burky, Jr., MD
Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Burky grew up in Northern California and graduated from Yuba City High School in 1978. He attended the University of California at Riverside, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology in 1982.
He attended medical school at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1986. He then remained in Los Angeles to complete his orthopaedic residency at the Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center, completing his studies there in 1992. Clinical training included rotations at Orthopaedic Hospital of Los Angeles, Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, Centinella Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Honors and awards include: Class Salutatorian 1978, graduation with high honors 1982, Phi Beta Kappa 1982, J. Vernon Luck Senior Award-Orthopaedic Hospital 1990 and Children’s Hospital Orthopaedic Resident of the Year 1992.
His areas of interest include the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis of the lower extremities and pediatric orthopaedic problems.
Dr. Burky is married with six children. His hobbies include fishing and woodworking, as well as family and community activities.
